Is Zeal Yoga a Registered Yoga Alliance?

Yes, Zeal Yoga is a Yoga Alliance Registered School.

Who will be teaching the program?

Jessica Coyne, RYT 500 and Jen Suereth, RYT 500 will lead the program. There will be other subject matter experts brought in.

How do I know if Zeal’s program is right for me?

Come on in and talk to us. Jess and Jen love to share about the program including their missions. They both believe strongly in this program and their mission to share it. You can also check out our testimonials page to hear what previous students have to say.

How much yoga experience do I need to enroll in the program?

We recommend you have a strong physical practice (4-5 times a week). You don’t need to be able to “do” all of the poses – just the discipline to practice. You also need to love yoga, have a deep connection to your body and have the desire to learn more!

What if I don’t know if I want to teach yoga?

That is totally ok! Many people enroll in teacher training to deepen their own practice and to dive deep into the philosophy and history of yoga.

Is there homework?

Yes! An important part of your development as a teacher involves your personal study. You are expected to attend classes regularly, observe classes and practice teach.  Additional “homework” includes reading and written assignments.  But don’t worry, you have a full year to complete it all.

Are books and materials included in the price of the training?

The costs of books is not included in the tuition.  You can find the full list here:

What if I have to miss a portion of the training?

Because this is an immersion training, we encourage you not to miss any sessions. Of course, life sometimes dictates otherwise. Missed sessions must be arranged in advance and will be handled on a case-by-case basis. In most cases you will be required to make up the missed workshop or classes by scheduling one or more private sessions with Jen or Jess. Standard private class pricing will apply.

Will I be able to teach after completing Teacher Training?

Yes!  By successfully completing all of the requirements for Zeal Yoga’s Teacher Training Program you will receive your certificate of completion at the 200-Hour Level.  You can then register with the Yoga Alliance as a RYT-200, which is the minimum amount studios, gyms, and others look for when hiring yoga teachers.

Do you offer scholarships or financial aid?

We have opportunities to trade work at the studio for part of your tuition. We also have a payment plan option. Contact us for more information.
